ELT Assessment
- Assessment is a process of collecting synthesizing and interpreting information in other to make a decision. Depending on the decision being made and the intorm that decision, testing, measurements, and evaluation.
- Measurements test is the process of quantifying or assigning a number to a performance or trait. For example judging whether a student is performing at a high enough level to move on to the next reading level or whether to carry out a particular instruction activity requires evaluation.
- Evaluation is the process of judging the quality or value of a performance or a course of the action. For example of measurement in the classroom is when a teacher scores a quiz or test.
- Characteristics of a good test,
- Practical
- Authentic
- Reliable
- Valid
- Not too hard/easy
- Discriminate good/poor learning.
